The Freudian Eye

The male mind is an interesting beast. The man is a man and 1,000,000 years of evolution with one set goal in mind is not easily altered to fit a lifestyle trend of the day. It is interesting to see how some of those male desires find their liberation in song, movies, and fashion in the world around me. Sometimes they are in harmony. Sometimes they are in conflict. For me, they are often in conflict, and this conflict is the source of much of my artistic energy. I often feel quite guilty for simply acting as a man, and having the ideas of a man. I use that guilt to want to be a better person. That said, the liberated ideas of a man can feel quite gratifying if allowed to be free. Somewhere in between my morals and my emotions clash, then art is conceived.
